Natural & Rustic Wedding in the Moroccan Mountains

Picturesque destination wedding Marrakech
Eliane and Motassem came to Marrakech from Switzerland for their beautiful destination wedding in Marrakech and they wanted to include their rich and varied multicultural background into their wedding day. With Motassem's family heritage from Palestine and growing up in Brazil, the couple decided to honour their roots by adding unique and traditional elements. It was moving and nostalgic for the Groom's family to watch and join in with the traditional Lebanese Palestinian band performing cultural dances such as the Dabke. With such a lively and inclusive atmosphere, there was a smile on everyone's faces and so much love in the air.
The couple's vision for the day was a rustic, nature-inspired Moroccan wedding that would showcase their connection with the outdoors and their love for beautiful scenery. With their guests in attendance from all over the world including Brazil, Canada, Singapore, USA and Lebanon, they couldn't have picked a more stunning location in the Moroccan mountains to celebrate together.
Venue
The venue they chose for their destination wedding in Marrakechh was a luxury kasbah nestled in the Atlas Mountains, which offered breathtaking views of the unique Moroccan landscape. The natural beauty of the surroundings was the perfect backdrop for their simple and rustic wedding with their closest friends and family. The peacefulness of the countryside paired with its extensive and unique views was popular for taking those all-important and memorable selfies!
Finding the right venue for Eliane and Motassem was so important for their destination wedding day. They wanted somewhere that felt special and represented them as the outdoors and adventurous couple they are. Choosing the location, the vibe and venue style made it possible for them to have the wedding of their dreams.
The traditional colours of Morocco came through the architecture of the venue and the design elements made their rustic wedding unique and memorable. From the intricate macrame ceremony backdrop to the handcrafted and carefully chosen Moroccan rugs lining the aisle, this wedding was one to remember.
Decor
For the decor, we sourced materials from the local medina and souks and worked with Moroccan artisans to create unique decor items like hanging Moroccan raphia lanterns that adorned the reception tables. These handcrafted decor pieces added a traditional touch to the rustic wedding theme of the reception and created a beautiful glow in the venue. The use of oranges as part of the table decor was a nod to the abundance of fresh and seasonal fruit in Morocco and to the local produce which makes the famous authentic cuisine.
