Multicultural wedding showcasing Pakistani and Saudi Arabia culture in Morocco
July 16th, 2022
Thank you guys for making our dream wedding come true! It was months of hard work, and probably one of the most difficult weddings to pull off given the elements from Pakistani, Saudi, American and Moroccan cultures all infused into one wedding.
But it was those elements, and all the small details that made it so special for us and the guests. Thank you for dealing with all our random requests, like making sure we get mechoui (which was a hit by the way!), to procuring the 30 swords for the dance, to managing all the various vendors on the day of from the DJ to the photoshoot guide. Every one was there, at the time we needed them, thanks to your guys’ coordination.
One of the things we were most worried about was whether we would be able to enjoy our events, rather that worry about some arrangement / vendor etc. Your guy’s day-of management really helped take away all the stress from us so we could enjoy our own wedding with our friends and family. For example dealing with all the random weather related things (who knew it would rain all 3 days of our JULY wedding). In fact, Muneeza did not even know until the storm had passed on the day of the mehendi, that there was a storm and you guys had to take everything down and put it back up again!
Indulge in the enchanting story of Muneeza and Aziz's remarkable three-day Muslim multicultural wedding, where dreams and traditions intertwined to create an extraordinary wedding celebration in Morocco.
Why Morocco?
Our couple chose to host their destination multicultural wedding in Morocco to make it easier for their guests travelling from all over the world to celebrate with them. Morocco was a central location for Europe, USA, Pakistan, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia - and with Morocco's stunning scenery and unique culture, it was the perfect destination for their guests to experience extraordinary landscapes, scenery and rich culture.
Welcome dinner
This beautiful wedding started with a traditional welcome dinner at the prestigious Dar Zellij, immersing guests in authentic Moroccan architecture, atmosphere and music. Muneeza and Aziz joined in with local bands and musicians as they took part in a spectacular parade through the streets of the Medina to join their family on the rooftop for a welcome celebration.
Multicultural Wedding
With enthusiasm and dedication, we embarked on creating a magical wedding that honoured the Bride's Pakistani heritage and the Groom's Saudi Arabian family traditions, to intertwine these two cultures in one multicultural wedding celebration. Muneeza & Aziz who flew from California to Marrakech also wanted to add Moroccan Wedding elements to their special day making this wedding a fusion of traditions and cultures that was vibrant, colourful and perfectly unique.
"It was months of hard work and probably one of the most difficult weddings to pull off given the elements from Pakistani, Saudi, American and Moroccan cultures all infused in one wedding!" - Aziz
The festivities kicked off with a pool party and welcome dinner for guests who arrived at the unique and exclusive Kasbah bab Ourika to start the weekend's events. Reuniting with old friends and reconnecting over a mocktail, this relaxed and entertaining pool party set the mood for the rest of the wedding in Marrakech. The morning saw guests participating in calming and traditional Moroccan yoga classes before breakfast, enjoying the Marrakech sun and soaking in the breathtaking scenery offered by the Atlas Mountains.
Immerse yourself in the Culture
The first day of Muneeza & Aziz's multicultural wedding saw the couple and their guests embark on a culinary journey with engaging local cooking lessons, where they learned about the rich flavours and tastes of Moroccan cuisine before experiencing adventurous once-in-a-lifetime camelback rides. Our couple wanted their guests to have the opportunity to explore the culture and activities Marrakech has to offer and have time to create truly magical and beautiful memories together.
Henna Ceremony
The Henna Ceremony took place in a secluded area of the Mountainside Kasbah where the Bride with her family and friends spent the afternoon receiving intricate and delicate henna designs from some of Marrakech's most talented Henna artists. This important Muslim ritual symbolises love and prosperity for the bride, and Muneeza had an incredible afternoon surrounded by her loved ones to share in this event.
Mehendi night
The vibrant Mehendi night immersed guests in the beauty and joy of cultural music, dance, and celebrations all evening. With enthusiastic guests, extraordinary DJ's and stunning lighting, this party was enjoyed by everyone! With colourful decor being the top of the agenda for Muneeza & Aziz, we ensured every corner of their wedding venue in Marrakech was beautifully decorated to match their wedding vision.
Multicultural Wedding Ceremony
The final day of celebrations saw our couple unite and profess their love for each other in the sacred Nikkah ceremony. Our couple were very fortunate with the weather and had a beautiful ceremony outside witnessed by their guests who had travelled to see them from across the world. The majestic Atlas Mountains made for a stunning backdrop to their wedding in Marrakech and was the perfect setting for their romantic Muslim wedding. Muneeza and Aziz left the stage to a 30-sword traditional Moroccan dance that was captivating and undeniably unique!
Organising local Moroccan bands to start the party and add a lively atmosphere, this couple and their guests were ready to enjoy the rest of the evening with delicious cuisine, drinks and entertainment.
Wedding Reception
The grand finale, the wedding reception, was a romantic and elegant affair by candlelight with heartfelt speeches and beautiful decor creating an intimate and magical atmosphere. With time to sit down and relax in this enchanting space at Kasbah bab Ourika, our couple couldn't stop smiling from all the love from their guests.
But a wedding is not complete without a proper party, which is exactly what Muneeza and Aziz did through the night to incredible DJ's and entertainers who brought this celebration to the next level!
"Your Wedding day management really helped to take away all the stress from us so we could enjoy our own wedding with our friends and family" - Aziz
