Extravagant and luxury 4-Day Indian Wedding Celebration in Marrakech

June 2nd, 2022

We can't wait to share with you this spectacular 4-day wedding celebration in Marrakech for Janki & Nilen's beautiful Indian wedding. Our couple wanted a mix of colourful and natural tones throughout their venue to add a bohemian element to their luxury celebrations in Marrakech. Their choice of venues offered stunning Moroccan architecture and intricate designs that blended Indian and Moroccan cultures seamlessly.

Food, entertainment and making sure every guest had an extraordinary time was the priority for Janki & Nilen. From live DJ's, performers and dancers to extensive lunch buffets and formal sit-down dinners, every day of this celebration was a feast for the senses.

Wedding Location

We helped our couple find the perfect locations and venues for their different ceremonies and events. From a secluded Kasbah in the Atlas mountains and luxury private villas like Palais Namaskar, we found the best venues to suit each wedding vibe, theme and guest count.

Civil ceremony

The first day of celebrations in Marrakech started with Janki & Nilen getting ready in the beautiful Kasbah bab Ourika at the foothills of the Atlas mountains. The rustic, natural and earthy landscape was perfect for their romantic and intimate civil ceremony. The exceptional backdrop of the mountains provided such a unique and picturesque location for stunning wedding photos, especially as the sun started to set.

This special and magical moment was shared with only close family members, making this day truly about the merging of two souls and two families.

Welcome Party and Mednhi Party

The morning started at the luxurious Villa Namaskar where the Bride, Mother of the Bride and Mother in Law had their traditional Indian mehndi done by a talented mehndi artist. Relaxing under the beautiful canopy outside with soft music in the background was the perfect setting for the ladies to chat and enjoy getting ready for the wedding together. Hanging flower garlands of white and marigold surrounded the ladies as they had their mehndi done, and bowls of rose petals lined the pool to add a beautiful scent and colorful to the venue decor.

After the bride was looking picture-perfect with her bespoke mehndi, it was time to welcome their guests. The welcome party was a chance for the Bride & Groom to meet their guests before any formal events or rituals took place. Welcome cocktails, a buffet dinner followed by local musicians and a DJ kept their guests entertained as the Bride and Groom personally greeted all of their guests.

The theme for this event was Art Deco style - sophisticated, elegant and chic. Their vision was to have dark and moody colours with lots of fairy lights and traditional Moroccan lanterns to create a dramatic and show-stopping atmosphere. The couple wore opulent matching black and midnight blue outfits which complemented the aesthetic of the venue. Heartfelt speeches followed by fireworks, delicious food, cocktails and dancing made for a memorable first night in Marrakech for their guests.

Haldi ceremony

The Haldi ceremony was a fun, energetic and colourful Indian ceremony with the bride and groom getting covered in a paste of turmeric from their family. This Indian ritual is accompanied by prayers to Lord Ganesha seeking his blessings over the couple and their marriage. The Bride chose to incorporate natural colours and a bohemian vibe to the Haldi ceremony location with natural coloured linens and chairs, delicate white floral decor and dried flower arrangements. These soft and muted tones lent themselves wonderfully to the Bride's outfit and the colours of the turmeric!

After the couple was fully covered in the turmeric paste and every family member had said their blessings, they jumped into the pool! With a lot of laughter, photos and smiles all around, this was an event our couple won't be forgetting anytime soon!

The evening pool party was much anticipated, and little did the guests know what entertainment treats Janki & Nilen had in store! With delicate turquoise decor pieces around the pool and marigold hanging garlands around the exterior of the buildings, the vibe was tranquil, enchanting and calming. Live food stations and an open bar were enjoyed by everyone and the DJ kept the mood upbeat and lively. But what caught everyone's attention was the acrobats and mermaid entertainers surrounding the pool in sequined and colourful costumes. These unique and otherworldly performers brought a magical and eclectic element to this wonderful pool party.

Hindu Ceremony in Marrakech

The day started with the arrival of the Groom's procession to the venue surrounded by live music, singing, dancing and colourful smoke cannons. Whilst the Groom's family were arriving at the ceremony, Janki received a beautiful love letter written by her future husband that brought her to tears. Every Bride can become overwhelmed with emotions on her wedding day, and we are there to provide support and a makeup artist to fix any last-minute smudges.

The Mandap takes centre stage during the Hindu Ceremony, and we made sure the design was everything the Bride had envisioned. Blush, coral and ivory roses gracefully climbed all 4 pillars of the Mandap surrounded by lush greenery with pops of pampas and dried flowers for a boho-chic vibe. Delicate glass chandeliers and lights hung from the ceiling adding sparkle and texture to the space.

Exquisitely designed and handcrafted chairs were used for the Bride and Groom during their rituals and blessing under the Mandap. The terracotta colour with ivory and green detailing complemented the colour scheme of the natural wooden beams and florals surrounding them.

As we knew the weather would be glorious, we made sure that every seat had a bottle of water and a fan for each guest so they were comfortable throughout the ceremony. Light background music made the guests feel at ease and relaxed as they enjoyed and took part in Janki & Nilen's beautiful Indian wedding.

Wedding Reception

The reception dinner was a black tie event, with Nilen looking stylish in a black 2 piece suit, and Janki looking elegant and serene in a dusky lavender and silver ensemble. The couple wanted the reception to feel classy, sophisticated and chic. We opted for 1 long dining table outdoors for their formal sit-down meal which fitted perfectly in the outdoor space. Floral arrangements and pillar candles ran the length of the table creating a romantic and fairytale-like ambience. With traditional hanging Moroccan lanterns overhead, the guests were bathed in a golden glow that created an intimate and warm vibe.

We worked really closely with Janki & Nilen throughout the whole wedding planning process to make sure we delivered the Indian wedding of their dreams in Marrakech. When designing their colour palette, florals, venue locations and themes for each event, we created a mood board to highlight the vibe and what they could expect to see on the actual day. From understanding the cultural and religious elements they wanted to include in their wedding to advising on decor, styling and wedding suppliers, we ensured that their special day was one to remember.
