Kelsey and Dylan's bohemian, modern-chic Marrakech wedding was a fusion of American and Moroccan cultures, offering a unique and colourful experience for their guests. The celebration spanned a long weekend with 3 different events at 3 stunning locations across Marrakech. For this couple and their guests who have travelled around the world to celebrate together, this intimate destination wedding was joyful, nostalgic and full of friendship and love. From camel rides and desert dinners to traditional Moroccan musicians and fire dancers, their Marrakech wedding was filled with laughter, love and new experiences. With a desert wedding rehearsal and drinks to their elegant and romantic outdoor ceremony, this destination wedding in Marrakech is an inspiration for adventurous, globe-trotting couples.
Boho aesthetic
Given Kelsey's background in interior design, it was clear that her wedding would be visually stunning. The decor we designed incorporated handcrafted Moroccan pieces and thoughtfully chosen local items to create a modern boho aesthetic with a Moroccan flair. The colour scheme the couple chose was earthy tones of beige, nude and white, which they used throughout the ceremony and reception to give a beautifully cohesive look. Asking the guests to wear these same colour tones made for Pinterest-worthy photos and a beautiful bohemian aesthetic.
The perfect location
The natural beauty of the Marrakech desert and stunning architecture were the perfect setting for this boho destination wedding. The Agafay desert, with its vast scenery and striking Atlas mountains, provided an otherworldly backdrop for their wedding ceremony. Kelsey and Dylan took full advantage of the surroundings for their couple photos, immersing themselves in the magic of the desert and spending intimate moments in this breathtaking setting.
This multi-cultural celebration was a fusion of American and Moroccan styles and customs, which made it a unique and dreamy boho wedding. Elegant floral arrangements and intricate details created a luxurious atmosphere, while traditional Moroccan cuisine and styling added an authentic touch. Kelsey had a beautiful henna tattoo created by a local artist as a part of her Marrakech wedding preparations, and guests were entertained with traditional Gnawa music, which provided a sense of cultural immersion.
Wedding reception
Unique and mesmerizing local entertainment kept Kelsey and Dylan's guests in awe as they watched belly dancers, fire eaters and traditional musicians keep everybody entertained and wanting more. Following these already incredible acts came a surprise dance by the newly married couple during the wedding day reception! With a costume change, romantic music and beautifully choreographed dance, they blew their guests away with their talent and energy.
